WELLBEING WALK
Urban Partners launched London's first "Wellbeing Walk" in 2015 to provide a less polluted, calmer, and safer walking route between St Pancras International and Euston Station.
The partnership with local businesses and public sector bodies like the Cross River Partnership and the London Borough of Camden aimed to reduce exposure to high pollution levels, improve air quality by up to 65%, and invigorate the local Somers Town area by increasing footfall and supporting independent traders
WHAT IS THE WELLBEING WALK?
A Low-Pollution Route:
The walk follows a path via Eversholt Street, Phoenix Road, Brill Place, and other streets, offering an alternative to the heavily polluted Euston Road.
A Healthier Option:
It provides a healthier and less stressful journey for the thousands of daily commuters between the two major stations.
A Historical & Cultural Path:
Beyond being a clean air route, it exposes walkers to local history, local independent businesses in Somers Town, and hidden parts of the area.
