Homelessness is a growing issue in the capital, which is why it’s vital that we all do our bit to tackle the rising numbers of rough sleepers and enable local authorities to help support them. Reporting any rough sleepers you see means that the borough will be able to access funding for them to help give them adequate aid and enable them to get off the streets and into a safe space. Here are a couple of apps that you can use to report such incidences whilst on the go:
This app, working across the borough of Camden, is backed by a team working 7 days a week. They offer guidance and support to those sleeping rough, helping them find accommodation and access to services that are available to them. Not only does this app allow you to report rough sleepers, but you can also report anti-social behaviour, helping to make the neighbourhood a safer place.
StreetLink alert local authorities to rough sleepers so they can be connected to local services. You will gain access to details of action that the local authority has taken and will receive an alert 10 days after reporting the incident. Street Link use all information given to them to ensure that they can provide the first step for someone towards a life away from the streets.
